Full Time Positions:

Facility Services Crew Member I

Department: Facility Services

Schedule: Full Time

Position Summary:
Will have primary responsibility for assisting in completing event set-up, tear-down and cleaning before, during and after events in the Arena, Opera House and Convention Center. Additionally, during non-event times will complete routine custodial or maintenance tasks throughout the Facility.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. 1. Maintain restrooms before, during and after events.
  2. 2. Maintains cleanliness of event space to include public/common areas.
  3. 3. Light duty set up/strike (i.e. table cleaning, sweeping floors, bussing tables in room, etc.)
  4. 4. Assist in Departmental tasks (cleaning during chair strike, picking of arena seating area, sweeping arena, etc.) as assigned.
  5. 5. Complete daily office routines.
  6. 6. Maintain workstation/maintenance cart to include restocking at the conclusion of each shift.
  7. 7. Must be able to operate/use vacuums and basic hand equipment utilized in this position.
  8. 8. Must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing.
  9. 9. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays when required.
  10. 10. Assist in performing other duties as assigned by the Facility Services Manager.

 

Additional/Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor facility on a daily basis and report any damage or hazardous situations to their assigned Crew Leader, Crew Supervisor or Department Manager so they may be corrected in a timely manner.

Education and Experience Requirements:
H.S. Diploma/GED and 1 Year Job Related Experience

Job Related Experience:
One or more years of experience performing tasks similar or related to the custodial services required in the operation of an Arena or Convention Center.

Job Knowledge, Skills, Other Requirements/Equipment, Tools or Machinery:

  1. 1. Must be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
  2. 2. Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  3. 3. Must have a basic understanding of chemicals and equipment, which are assigned for use to this position.

 

Physical Requirements:

  1. 1. Requires a full range of body motions including vision and hearing in a normal range.
  2. 2. Frequently works under stressful working conditions, irregular hours and tight time deadlines.
  3. 3. Job requires the following physical movements and functions:
    • • Standing, Walking, Lifting, Carrying: 85%
    • • Repetitive Stooping, Bending, Climbing: 15%
    • • Weights involved in routine lifting: 15 to 35 lbs.

 

Working Conditions:
Work is performed in an enclosed building environment with occasional exposure to outside elements.

Licensure, Certification:
Valid Driver’s license

Facility Services Crew Member III

Department: Facility Services

Schedule: Full Time

Position Summary:
Will have primary responsibility for assisting in completing event set-up, tear-down and cleaning before, during and after events in the Arena, Opera House and Convention Center. Additionally, during non-event times will complete routine custodial or maintenance tasks throughout the Facility.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. 1. Assist in set/strike all events throughout the complex.
  2. 2. Assist with the assembly/disassembly of stages or dance floor according to guidelines and specified requirements received from supervisor. This shall include having the ability to determine amount of parts required to complete the task and assemble/disassemble with minimal instruction to no instruction or supervision.
  3. 3. Set and remove admission control equipment.
  4. 4. Sweep, mop and/or scrub floors, seating areas, walls, restrooms, etc. utilizing manual or power equipment.
  5. 5. Strip, wax and buff tile floors according to guidelines and specified requirements received from supervisor.
  6. 6. Clean/shampoo carpet as needed.
  7. 7. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  8. 8. Must be able to properly operate forklifts, walk-behind/riding scrubbers, floor buffers and vacuum/extractors. Additionally, must be able to be certified, under OSHA guidelines, to operate designated equipment.
  9. 9. Must be willing to work flexible hours, nights, weekends and holidays when required.
  10. 10. Custodial service – before, during and after events.
  11. 11. Routine custodial service to entire complex during non-event times.
  12. 12. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness/orderliness to all custodial supply/ equipment storage areas.
  13. 13. Assist in performing other duties as assigned by the Facility Services Manager.

Part Time Positions:

Ticket Seller

Department: Box Office

Schedule: Part Time

Responsible for processing ticket orders (telephone/at the ticket window) for concerts, basketball games, family shows and other events held on the complex. Must have good telephone, people and computer skills.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends.

Concessions Stand Attendant

Department:  Concessions

Schedule:  Part Time

Responsible for taking orders and handling cash for all transactions at the counter, food preparation and filling orders.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends. 

Concessions Stock Person

Department:  Concessions

Schedule:  Part Time

Responsible for handling stock to supply concession stands both prior to and during events. Additionally will be responsible for post event clean up in the concession stands.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends. 

Guest Services Representative

Department:  Security/Guest Services

Schedule:  Part Time

Responsible to greet patrons and confirm/scan tickets upon arrival, assist patrons to locate their seat location in a designated section and/or resolve routine ticketing problems with the patrons.

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends. 

Parking Lot Attendant

Department:  Security/Guest Services

Schedule:  Part Time

Will work parking lot booth collecting parking fees, dispensing tickets, assisting with patron parking during, and after arena/other building events.  

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Good math skills.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends.

Rink Worker

Department: Rink Operations

Schedule:  Part Time

Responsible for installing/removing of end risers and seats, basketball floor, sub-flooring and stage platforms.

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Must be available to work a flexible shift to include evenings and weekends.

Forklift experience desirable.
